Annual horse show in Villa Borghese? Little G couldn’t contain her excitement and this year entrance is free!
This is the first year that Piazza di Siena, the annual horse show held in Villa Borghese is accessible to the public for free. Tickets are still required for the tribunal and afternoon tickets can be 50 to 100 euros. Little G’s class mascot at school is a horse and let’s just say she is really into horses this year. My mom also raised horses when she was younger and was interested in attending the event. We knew Little G would not want to sit for hours to watch the event but rather check out the horses and gallop around Villa Borghese.

We brought a picnic blanket and a light lunch and went to check out the event. When we arrived there was a good size crowd enjoying the horse show from the hillside north of Piazza di Siena. There were street food vendors, a rather new trend here in Rome. We went over to the warm up area, set out our picnic blanket and watched the riders warm up.
