Come see one of Rome’s best parks for kids. Mine are regulars at this park which is great for kids from one year of age. It’s a short trip on the tram if your kids need a break from museums and sightseeing.
We live on the north side of Rome, affectionately called Roma Nord. At the north end of the historic city is the Via Flaminia which is one of the ancient Roman streets, remember all roads lead to Rome, right? Along this historic street is a great neighborhood, Flaminio, where we spend a lot of time with the kids. There are some really fantastic places to spend time as a family. One of our favorites and a neighborhood hangout for local kids is the Parco Giochi Primo Sport 0246 at the intersection of Viale Tiziano and Via Flaminia just next to the Palazzetto dello Sport.

The park is 1800 square meters with 20 different structures. There is a variety of structures, all studied to help children’s motor skill development of all ages, from baby swings and mini slides for toddlers to large play equipment for children up to eight years old.

There is also a small soccer field and also a full size basketball court. The park is surrounded by greenery and shade which is fundamental in the summertime. There is also a gazebo and picnic tables for a quick snack or for tired pregnant Mamma like me. On hot summer days there is another park nearby completely covered by shade… that will be for another post!
